Rimworld workshop mods require a connection to Steam when you first open the game, or least they have in past versions.The name does not matter but use a name close to the mod's one to remember it. Open the folder and then open the zip file. When you open the zip file you will see some folders. Always in these folders is one called "about" then maybe you see folders like "patches" or "textures" or "common" or "1.0" or "1.1" or "1.2" etc. Select all the folders ...If opening the folder in the file finder still doesnt fix it, try copying the mods, deleting the mod folder, then making a new one with the same exact name and pasting all the mods …I believe it steam > steam apps > common > rimworld > mods. Move those mods you put in the desktop folder into the mods folder. Just remember to take them out when ever you next start the game with internet. This should be correct more or less.
